Built for Mini Crushers.
The competition uses these two identical Star-hold routes. They are adapted for younger climbers and the shorter Bendemeer wall, while still giving children the excitement of racing side by side.

Bouldering and High Wall / Autobelay take place on Saturday. Speed Climbing is on Sunday, with U7 in the morning followed by U8 in the afternoon. Final timings will be shared closer to the competition.

No minimum age — independence is essential.
Every child must enter the competition area, follow instructions, and compete without a parent or guardian. Routes are set around a typical 7-year-old’s height, so younger or shorter climbers may find some moves too far apart or more difficult.

01Registration deadlines
Early bird registration ends on 4 October 2026. Early bird fees are $38 for one event or $90 for all three events.
Regular registration closes on 18 October 2026. Regular fees are $45 for one event or $110 for all three events.
02Startlists and schedule
The startlists and final schedule will be added to this page after registration closes on 18 October 2026. They will not be available before registration closes.
Please check carefully to know your child’s exact registration time.
- Climbers must arrive during their registration time.
- We will not register climbers early.
- Late arrivals will be disqualified.
03Demo climbs
Demo climb videos will be added to this page on Friday, 30 October 2026 — the day before the competition. They will not be available earlier.
04Rules and regulations
The rules and regulations will be added to this page. Please review them in advance so you and your child are familiar with the competition guidelines.
05Gear and essentials
- Harness: Complimentary rental is provided.
- Climbing shoes: Rental is available at $5.45 per pair per day. Rental is free for participants representing BFF Climb or My Little Climbing Room.
- Socks: Please bring socks if renting shoes.
- Climbing requirement: Participants must climb in climbing shoes or approved grip socks.
- Water bottle: Please ensure your child brings one.
- Rest well: Encourage your child to have a good night’s sleep before their competition day.

07Speed wall practice
The official speed routes will remain on the wall for practice all the way until competition day.
On Saturday morning, the speed wall area will also be closed temporarily as it will be used for isolation during the bouldering event. Outside of these periods, the speed wall will stay available for practice.
08Speed climbing knockouts
Knockout rounds will be determined by the number of participants with valid qualifier timings:
Top 1616 or more participants
Top 88–15 participants
Top 44–7 participants
The final knockout format will be confirmed after registration closes. Absentees or invalid timings may affect the format.
09Results and medal presentation
Competition results will be updated on this page on the day of competition.
Event awards: medals for the top 8 climbers in each event and category. Overall awards: medals for the top 3 climbers in each category based on combined results from all three events. Please check the schedule for the medal presentation timing.
The Mini Crusher spirit

Mini Crusher is specially organised to give our youngest climbers the chance to experience competition in a fun and supportive way. While medals and results are part of it, our main focus is growth, confidence, and enjoyment.
After every event, climbers can look forward to a little toy or sweet redemption — a small perk to keep the day cheerful and motivating. We hope you’ll join us in encouraging the kids to climb their best, support one another, and most importantly, enjoy the experience.

Everything families need before competition weekend.
Who can take part?
U8 is for climbers who are 8 or under in 2026, born in 2018 or later. U7 is for climbers who are 7 or under in 2026, born in 2019 or later. There is no minimum age, but every child must be able to enter the competition area, follow instructions, and compete independently without a parent or guardian.
What should my child bring?
Please bring comfortable sportswear, a water bottle, and personal climbing shoes if available. Rental harnesses are provided free of charge. Climbing shoes can be rented for $5.45 per pair.
Is prior climbing experience necessary?
Yes. Mini Crusher is designed for young climbers who are already familiar with basic climbing movement and safety instructions.
Can parents and guardians watch?
Yes. Parents and guardians are welcome to watch from the designated spectator areas while respecting the event rules. Children must enter the competition area and compete independently without a parent or guardian.
Can I transfer my child’s slot?
Transfers can be requested before registration closes. Please email events@bffclimb.com with the relevant details.
Can I get a refund if we withdraw?
There will be no refunds.
When will the detailed schedule be available?
The detailed schedule will be shared after registration closes. Please allow a few working days for the final schedule to be released.
Are there height or weight restrictions?
There are no formal height or weight restrictions. However, the routes are set around the height and reach of a typical 7-year-old. Younger or shorter climbers may find some moves too far apart or more difficult.
Where will results be published?
Results will be published on this page at the end of each category.
Can I change my registration details later?
Yes. Please email events@bffclimb.com with your requested changes.
